Action For Happiness: daily actions to help you live more mindfully.

Thanks to Action For Happiness so many of us are engaging in daily actions to help the world become a kinder and happier place to live, spreading positive and thoughtful ideas while bringing a sense of togetherness.


This month's calendar is 'Mindful March'.


For those of you who haven't heard of the term Mindfulness, according to www.mindful.org "Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us."


Mindfulness is about slowing down and having an awareness, being more present so we live 'in the moment.'


Benefits of Mindfulness include:

* lower blood pressure

* regulate emotion

* reduce pain

* improve sleep

* treat heart disease

* alleviate gastrointestinal difficulties

* increased awareness

* lower anxiety

* increased attention and focus
