Treat your feet this World Reflexology Week!

Reflexologists worldwide are celebrating and taking part in World Reflexology Week, which takes place from 20-26 September 2021, to help raise awareness about some of the health and wellbeing benefits of this popular therapy.

With its roots dating back more than four millennia, reflexology is based on the principle that special ‘reflex’ points found on the soles, tops and sides of the feet correspond to different areas of the body. In this way, the feet can be seen as a ‘map’ of the whole body.

While the feet are the most common part of the body treated during a reflexology treatment, reflex points can also be found on the hands, ears and face.

By applying specialised massage techniques to the reflex points, the aim of a reflexology treatment is to help restore balance to the body naturally and improve general wellbeing.

As well as helping to aid relaxation and improve sleep, a survey of FHT reflexologists* found that 71% of clients regularly use reflexology to support them with long-term health conditions including stress and anxiety, depression, joint and mobility issues, and pain.

Save 25% on a reflexology treatment during World Reflexology Week by contacting Rachel at LIFE Holistic Therapies.
